Where Girls Can be Girls and Women Support Women...
Meet new friends, plunge in the lake, dance for dessert, hoist a sail and enjoy the mountain winds, laugh, smile, sing, cheer, ride a horse, roast marshmallows on an open fire, enjoy the best that summer camping can offer at Wa-Klo
Camp Wa-Klo for girls is more than just a summer in a life; it’s a lifetime in a summer. Wa-Klo is a traditional, New England, sleep away camp that gives girls the time to work, play, think, relax, be with friends, or to be alone in order for her to feel secure in the belief that she belongs to Wa-Klo, and Wa-Klo belongs to her.
The spirit of Wa-Klo is found in the heart, smiles, and laughter of our campers and staff; the spirit is found in the traditions of Wa-Klo but also in the inevitable changes camp makes each summer to offer a precious summer experience; the spirit of Wa-Klo began in 1938 and throughout the years, the spirit still burns brightly today.
Camp Wa-Klo is an all girls, summer camp in a traditional New England setting. “Our little corner of the world” provides a special summer home with a warm and inviting family. Miss Kloberg, the founder of Camp Wa-Klo, wanted a small, sleep away camp in order to get to know each and every girl who entered Wa-Klo’s gate. Today, we are still a small, down-to-earth camp with a close knit community that encourages individuality and celebrates achievement and effort.
