In our community, we eliminate negative attitudes and the social pressures that limit girls and provide an environment that is safe and nurturing, yet challenging and exciting. We are a down-to-earth camp with a close knit community that encourages individuality and celebrates achievement and effort.

Girls think of Wa-Klo as their second home because of the friendships they make, the comfort they feel, and the support they receive. They know it is a place where they are accepted and loved for the special people they are.

With careful guidance, girls at Wa-Klo develop independence, discover new interests, and build confidence. Our extraordinary staff of young women are talented, outstanding role models and teach skills that give girls the capability to reach their potential and go beyond. Girls can explore, learn and excel in traditional activities like swimming and riding and less-conventional programs like crew, lacrosse and marathoning.

Camp Wa-Klo is indeed a traditional sleep-away camp for the 21st century girl who will grow up to be a confident woman in her personal and professional life.
