Memory: My friend Sinclair and I were getting off turtle rock when Ashley the LTG just started to climb up turtle rock with her camp journal. She put her journal on the rock while she was climbing up and the rock blew it into the water. She totally freaked out and started screaming for help. While I was slowly climbing into the water my friend Sinclair decided it would be a better idea to jump off turtle rock. She was soaked but at least she got Ashley's journal. We had a little bit of trouble explaining that one to our counselor!

Memory: One of my favorite camp memories was in my second year and i was in Bob In and a chipmunk got into our cabin and we trapped it in our counselers room and made several contraptions to try and catch it. We ended up spending the entire day trying to catch it. Finally we just left all the doors open and it ran out on its own. Courtney (Our counsler) was a bit suprised to see the mess when she came back from her day off.

Memory: I can't believe I found a web site for my most favorite place. I spent 5 amazing summers at camp and had the BEST time. I have soooooooo many great memories...to much to write. I have a box filled with all my "stuff" from camp wa-klo. Feathers..headbands...beads...my green wa-klo sweater and lots of song sheets and letters. Now that I have a daughter..I can't wait to have her spend her summers at wa-klo. I tell her stories all the time!!!! Memory: Hello everybody!!!!!!! I miss camp and wish I could speed up time and Wa-klo could start! I even miss the bugle waking me up in the morning! I remember something our counselor did to keep track of us when it looked like someone was missing. Pop-Out 1 count-off starting with one! Everyone who was in Pop-Out one last year should remember that! Can't wait to see all of you in Wa-klo 2003!!!!!!

Memory: I was in Side Out 2 and it was first month. It was night and I was very bored. So me and Taylor Gold decided to do something very fun. I dressed up as Santa Clause and Taylor dressed as Ms.Clause. We went to Way Out 1 and 2 and gave out candy. We gave out a lot of laughs and made some people happy!!!!!

It was the year 2002 and we were playing Poison. I was on the red team. The captians were Sue and Jill. While we were going to council fire i bumped into Sue. So me and some other people(caroline p.) went with Sue. We were being chased by the other team at one point. I was wearing shoes that slip on. Anyway, we stepped into a big puddle of mud and my shoe came off. Sue dug her hand in and pulled my shoe out thinking it was something out. It was really it. Then we were being chased again and i fell into water up till me head. Ever since that day Caroline P. calles me her MUDDY BUDDY!!! It was a lot of fun. Sue i hope you remember! lol

Memory: devon's trolls, arking with carla, vacume cleaner with gaby, sophia's impressions, meredith's sleep walking, and all the other amazing and funny things that happened last summer. I LOVE ALL OF YOU SO MUCH AND I CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN TO WA-KLO NEXT SUMMER!!!!!

Memory: Not seeing the ever familiar ad for Wa-Klo in the NY Times mag section prompted me to search on the internet and how happy I am to find this great website. My memories very fond and way too much toenter here. I remember Mrs Kloberg's mother sitting on the porch with her little white poodle, the Rapps, my best friend Melanie from Short Hills, NJ, the Boggs, bathing in the lake, going to Sajee's Island, Turtle Rock, Arts & Crafts, the boy scout camp dances (primp hour!!), outhouses, ice cream at Silver Ranch, too much to even list! Wa-Klo was a huge part of my life. Thank you Miss Jensen!

Memory: Hello everyone!!!!!!!!!! i hope all of you are comin' back in 03. one of my fondest memories at camp ( i have many ) is when i wrote a poem for my friend Sophie Katz. she laughed her head off and said that it was a perfect description of her. it's like this:
Not a Morning Person.
I can stay up all night can you?
I can stay up all night!
But getting me out of bed?
Don't even think about it.

Memory: One of my fondest memories of camp was in 2003. On the night of July 3 me and my friend Dana went to the green plastic chairs in front of Sleepy Hollow with our Harry Potter books and flashlights (since it was getting dark). We didn't end up reading, though. We threw rocks into the lake to see who could throw their's the furthest. While we threw rocks, talked, and joked and laughed, we watch fireworks from somewhere across the lake. It was really fun, probably one of my best nights at my two summer so far at Wa-Klo.

Memory: memories of camp...... there are so many!! First amanda and sofie- HOPACA, me and amanda dont wear v neck shirts! Bounce of yes! I also cant forget way out 2- the gothic mounchkin, m&m crazy, operation derek, and of course the llama. Turtle rock and whopps the wind surf. Also stage crew was great. dam u sofie! lol. 2003 was sleeping on the porch, showering in the rain the overflowin toilet, and the sickist cabin yet. Best cabin! kinda like pop out 2 '02!!!

Memory: My favorite camp memory was in 2003. It was when everybody in my cabin was calling me perfect. Also at final council fire my counselor gave everbody in my cabin a will for next year. Memory: 1st month of 2003 Emma D. got a rose from her boyfriend Eladio. Second month when we were cleaning and packing Sinclair S. who slept in the same bed as Emma found the rose. Ali V. and I who were both eight weekers remembered the rose being Emma's. I don't know why, but that moment touched me and made me think of all the good memories from first month that year.

Memory: My favorite memories include Sleepy Hollow and Side Out (I think I was in Side Out but I'm not sure) and my bunk mates (I'm so curious to know what's happened to you all); Halloween and being scared out of my mind by those footprints the older campers drew in the dirt (and then turning the tables on the younger kids); canoeing and boating (but not mandatory swim and not having to wash my hair in the lake with the fish); and going to the steps of Ms Kloberg's cabin to look for care packages. I also recall a raging case of chicken pox and at least one minor head injury. Hey, do you still make those kids wear those hideous green bathing suits? Please tell me that some things do change. But i think that the best one is hanging out with all my girls in somewhere, calling Karen (the councleor) mommy, calling Sue Unkie Sue and calling Jill Bolasar, and all the LTG'S being our cousins, and chritania Yolley. Memory: My God, where to start? Since my first summer as an upper mid in sideout 2 and in sleepy hollow I have a memory each summer. The reason why I really wanted to come back to camp was because of one rainy day in sideout 2, my first bunk and I had a fun game of truth or dare. This day is why I returned for my lower inter in popout 3, and will always come back. In popout not only did I have fun doing my nightly rounds of hugs, but was always terrified of the mother bird in the nest above my cabin door. In sideout 2 again was an interesting and emotional summer for me. My last cabin in Tip-It was one of my favorite cabins I ever was in. 1st month we won Walk-on Idol and we had a special talk. 2nd month this summer we had the biggest shaving cream fight ever. Wa-klo I love and will always remember you.

Memory: answering the question "what was your favourite camp memory?" is nearly impossible for a person that's called camp her home for the last five summers. the thing i will remember the most, however, is the feeling i have at camp. it's a mixture of so many emotions it's hard to figure out which one matters the most. it's... every single part of camp for me, and that is what keeps me coming back year after year.

Memory: My first year, (2002,) i remember being at council fire and screaming my brains out. Then all of a sudden, right in the middle of some cheer, i lost my voice. I couldn't talk or sing for like a week. Everybody said that i sounded like a mouse sqeaking when i talked; (Love ya Em:) Finally, when i was water skiing, i shouted "YEAH!" because i got up and i got my voice back. I will never forget that! MISS YOU WA-KLO!

Memory: My foundest moemory of camp had to be when my cabin (tip-it) won the talent show. We fought over what we were going to do so much and in the end we ended up winning. We had an awesome time at Hampton Beach! It was so much fun riding waves into the sand, splashing each other, making sand castles (even though the waves knocked it down!) and just hanging out! This summer was the best summer of my life and I can't wait to go back in 0'4!

Memory: What can i say. Every year i have a blast. It first started with the best cabin! me, taylor, dani, joana, hannah, hilary, leah, and steph. Then winning the Wa-klo idol. One funny thing that happened in 03 was when it was like 3 days before camp ended and some of my cabin went outside to shave our legs. Instead we started a shaving cream fight. We ALL got covered in shaving cream. Then we all got into the showers and washed it all off. Then we did it again, but this time it started raining. We all had a blast. I will always remember this moment!
