A Dynamic Place of Creative Expression!
Audition for a play, learn jazz, sing a solo, become the star in the best play production ever! The arts at Wa-Klo provide girls with all kinds of opportunities to develop existing talents and discover new ways of self-expression. The arts allow a camper to set her imagination free, for when it comes to art there are no wrong answers. Camp is the place to shine, to take a chance, and leave it all on the stage.
Drama Production
If you prefer speaking and moving to singing and dancing, drama production is for you. Camp does a variety of scripts for varying age and skill levels. By putting on a play, campers learn how to develop a believable character through voice and body use, to distinguish different roles and duties of production staff, and to work as a team in order to get a performance ready for an audience. From page to stage, putting on a play is full of magic, excitement, and pure joy.
Musical Drama Production
Lights, curtain, sing, dance, act, and take a fantastic curtain call when it’s all done. At the end of each month, a Broadway style musical is accomplished through the efforts of the very talented girls at Wa-Klo. Everyone has a chance to perform a role in the camp musical whether it’s WILLA WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, ALADDIN, or a folly. Singing, dancing, and acting are the cool things to do at Wa-Klo.
