Camp Wa-Klo for Girls has moved beyond the traditional scheduling format of a bunk group moving together from one activity to another throughout the day.
At Wa-Klo each girl creates her own, personal activity schedule. Girls in grades 4-9 are encouraged to be independent about their programs with the support of Wa-Klo's outstanding staff. Each week they discuss their schedules with their counselors and select activities they really love or ones they would like to try. A girl can spend an entire day exploring our extensive waterfront, refining her skills at one of our instructional sport areas, being creative in the crafts room, learning how to ride, acting in a play, and so much more. The possibilities are endless and the schedule is her own. In any activity she chooses, her skills will improve as she works with specialists to develop talents and nurture interests. |
