A Place Where More is Not Enough
Camp Wa-Klo offers wonderful special events and evening programs. A camper is treated to a nightly surprise every day. By using the creative strengths of the staff, a camper may find herself drawing a mustache on a bunkmate while dressing up for an “area night.” Bunk bonding is especially fun as the group prepares for the annual skit night or just hangs out playing cards, reading books, or sharing how the day went. “Smorgasbord” may be the word of the night or “Scavenger Hunt” or “Gold Rush” or “Root Beer Float” or “Social with a Boy’s Camp” or “Camper/counselor Competition.” Evening programs are always fun for everyone.
Each session of camp is treated to a full camp trip during the summer. The “Wa-Klo Olympics” is always a huge event every year, and camp’s traditions such as Halloween, Hanukkah/Christmas, Final Banquet, Council Fire, and Reflections is also revered by all campers.
Every summer offers a different magic to all Wa-Klo girls. There is never a summer repeated, but the traditions that have made Wa-Klo Wa-Klo remain unchanged.
